Will travelling will be more cumbersome now that you are in your thirties, or do you think the extra wisdom will compensate for the lost youth?

In either case, great to see some action in the travelouge again :)

Well, if the events of the first week and a half of my thirties is some sort of a premonition for the rest of the decade, I don't think I'll ever reach fourty!

Or perhaps it was the added wisdom that means that I'm alive right now and the guy sitting next to me on that truck in the Rep of Congo isn't... I anticipated that it was going to tip over, he didn't.

I have some writing in the travelogue to do before you'll know what I'm talking about!

Though I'm happy I made it to the southern hemisphere for the first time in my life with three hours left of my twenties!

Anyway - thanks - and happy birthday yourself, 23 days late! :-) Well, 23 days and a bit more... Annoying to always be 23 days after you! Am I catching up? I would be if I travelled close to the speed of light...

Let's hope it was the extra wisdom that helped you, and that it will help you reach the fourthies and further!

Another way to catch up, is to travel east. I celebrated my birthday 6 hours earlier than normal this year due to time-zone difference. You can go a bit further east than me, but not much.

Does that count? It's a bit easier than speed-of-light travelling.

Btw, I did not reach the southern hemisphere in my twenties. A bit stupid since the equator is only 140ish kilometers from where we live.

Exactly, that's why I'm travelling east around the world instead of west. That way I'm getting younger and younger...!

Happy birthday again!

How does it feel to be 20 again?

Thank you!

20 is great, but I'm a bit worried about reaching 13! :-)
